Faceoff Factory - 12/23 5-8pm

Dear Players, Parents and Coaches;

Faceoff Factory will be returning to Syracuse, New York this year for our Christmas combine. This 3 hour clinic at 481 Sports Center will be held by Joe Nardella (Cazenovia, NY), Mike Poppleton (Manlius, NY), and Tim Edwards (Jamesville, NY). Coach Nardella (Rutgers '15) is currently the face-off specialist with the MLL's Boston Cannons and an assistant coach at Harvard University. Coach Poppleton (Johns Hopkins '13) is the current face-off specialist of the Rochester Rattlers. Coach Edwards (Canisus '15) is a member of the MLL’s Chespeake Bayhawks, the NLL’s Buffalo Bandits, and coaches at Canisus College. We will begin with our FOF warmup that emphasizes the importance of hand speed/coordination and antagonistic stretching. Following, training will consist of fundamental and technical reinforcement, advanced moves, counters, proper footwork, and body positioning. Drilling will be competition based and take place in small groups (sorted by age and ability). The clinic will conclude with our signature Faceoff Factory faceoff competition. Prizes will be given to the winners.

Face-off Factory is also excited to announce the addition of specialized goalie training for this event. This 3 hour clinic will be coached by Alex Krawec (East Syracuse, NY) and Ben Romagnoli (Cazenovia, NY). Alex is the current division 2 goalie of the year and first team All-American at LeMoyne College. Ben is a former Syracuse goalie and current assistant coach at LeMoyne College. We will begin each session with an emphasis on proper warm-up techniques, followed by a critique of each goalies fundamentals. As the training progresses we will shift our focus to all aspects of goalie training including proper stance, positioning, footwork, outlets and communication. Drilling will take place in small groups (sorted by age and ability). Training will include video analysis of the progression from beginning to end of training that will be sent out following the camp. No one clinic is going to make any goalie an instant success: however, all the drills will be tailored for each goalie to replicate on their own.

Wednesday, December 23rd from 5-8pm

The clinic will be at Sportscenter 481

6841 Collamer road, Syracuse, NY 13057

Space is limited to the first 50 registrants for this event so please register online as soon as possible to reserve your spot at

The cost of the clinic is $100 per player **

All ages are welcome. Including college athletes.

If you have any questions, please contact us and don't forget to check out for clinics, group training, and combines in other areas.

Thanks and best regards,

Anthony Teixeira, a junior attack man at the Bolles School in Jacksonville has given his commitment to Cornell University.  Teixeira plays his club lacrosse for the Central New York Roadhawks and the Jacksonville Lacrosse Club.

“I’d like to thank every coach that I’ve had over the years because they taught me almost everything I know about the game of lacrosse. Specifically, I want to thank my high school coaches: Rob Jennis, Brian Duncan, and Jack Francis, and my club coaches: Mike Stagnitta and Pat Harnett. Of course, I’d also like to thank my mom and dad because they’ve given me the opportunities to accomplish everything that I have in life. I can’t wait to play at Cornell in the near future.”
